Medical Advisor

Dr. Nounou Taleghani completed her undergraduate education at UCLA, graduating in 1986, and subsequently earned both her M.D. and Ph.D. (Neuroscience) degrees at the Chicago Medical School. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine in 1999 and joined the faculty of the Department of Surgery at Stanford as a Board Certified Emergency Medicine specialist in the same year.

Dr. Taleghani has received many awards for teaching, including the Excellence in Teaching award, given by the WCMC-Q class of 2008 at senior convocation to the faculty member that best exemplified the compassion, skill and distinction as a physician and teacher; and the Senior List award, given to faculty members who have made a commitment to and demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Dr. Taleghani took on a teaching and advising role in the Stanford School of Medicine in Fall 2009 as an Educator for CARE faculty and is currently in both roles of Associate Professor of Surgery (Emergency) and an Attending Physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University Hospital.

Dr. Taleghani's other roles include serving as the Medical Director for the Palo Alto Fire Department from 2000-2005, , Medical Director of the Susan G Koman Breast Cancer walks 2001-2009, as well as providing medical direction for many other community volunteer organizations.
